Delete Your WhutNext Account

This page explains how to delete your WhutNext account and the data associated with it. It applies to the WhutNext website (whutnext.com) and the WhutNext mobile app — they share one account.

Delete your account in WhutNext

  1. Open the WhutNext app or go to whutnext.com and sign in.
  2. Tap the person icon at the top of the screen to open your user menu.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm when asked. Your account is deleted immediately.

If you see a message asking you to sign in again, sign out, sign back in, and repeat the steps right away. For your security, accounts can only be deleted within a few minutes of signing in.

Can't sign in, or want everything removed?

Email privacy@whutnext.com with the subject "WhutNext account deletion request", sent from the email address on your account (or include the phone number you sign in with). We will confirm the request came from you, delete your account and all of the data listed below, and email you when it is done — within 30 days. What gets deleted

Immediately, when you use Delete Account

  • Your account: your sign-in record, email address, phone number (if used), display name, and any link to Google Sign-In
  • Your profile and settings: your user profile and saved preferences, such as sound settings
  • Your votes: every choice you made in scenarios, including the copy kept for calculating community results
  • Your progress: scenario progress and completion summaries
  • Your derived profiles: perspective, consensus, and consistency profiles calculated from your votes

On request by email (within 30 days)

A few records are not removed by the in-app button. Email us as described above and we will also delete:

  • Your submissions: responses you submitted through engagement forms while signed in
  • Email and SMS records: logs of account emails and verification codes we sent you

What we keep

  • Anonymous community totals. Overall vote counts and statistics (for example, "62% chose option A") are already combined and contain no information that identifies you. These totals are not recalculated, so your past votes may remain reflected in them anonymously.
  • SMS opt-out records. If you replied STOP to a text message, we keep that phone number on our opt-out list so we never text it again. This is required by messaging regulations.
  • Records we are legally required to keep. If the law requires us to retain specific information (for example, in response to a legal request), we keep only that information, and only as long as required.

Retention period

  • Using Delete Account in the app or website immediately deletes your account and everything listed under "Immediately" above.
  • Email requests are completed within 30 days of confirming your identity.
  • After deletion, residual copies may remain in our hosting provider's (Google Cloud / Firebase) internal systems for up to 180 days before they are permanently erased. We do not access or restore data from those systems.
  • Deletion is permanent. If you use WhutNext again later, you will start with a new, empty account.
